I struggle with staying organized.  There, I said it.  It always feels like I’m looking for a better solution to my workflow while never landing on the perfect system.  My most recent trial?  A smart notebook from Rocketbook.  Apparently, these have been around for some time, but I’m okay with arriving to the party late sometimes.  I briefly considered the Kindle Scribe and the remarkable 2, but the cost to entry for both of the products is high and I wasn’t convinced it was going to solve my problems.  The Rocketbook Fusion Plus was where I landed.  Will it work for my needs?  Time will tell, but this isn’t a review of the Rocketbook, it’s about finding the perfect folio case for it.

Originally, I was thinking I would just buy the Rocketbook Pro.  It had a sleek, professional-looking case.  After further research, I ultimately chose the Fusion Plus as the Pro didn’t offer variety page packs.  This seems to be a common complaint of the pro line.  The main draw of the pro is that case.  The Fusion line offers no such case, so I began looking for a Folio case to accompany the notebook.  Traditional business-style folio cases abound, but I wanted something a bit more unique.  Enter the Lochby Field Journal.

This waxed canvas folio comes with a field journal which I quickly removed and replaced with my Rocketbook Fusion Plus.  To my satisfaction, it fit perfectly.  In my research, I was unable to find anyone else who had tried this combination, hence this review.  If you’re into the waxed canvas look, this folio offers a unique style for your executive-sized Rocketbook.  The folio is well-built and feels to be a quality product.  As with most waxed canvas, I expect it to patina nicely over time.  The only downside is the price.  I think it’s a little pricey for what it is, but if you are looking for a unique, rugged style folio for the Rocketbook, this is a winner.  Is it the best folio case for Rockebook?  That’s probably subjective as peoples’ needs vary, but it is for me.
